It depends almost entirely on how often you fly. At 3 lessons a week, most students finish in 4 to 6 months. Weekends only stretches that to 8 to 12 months, and flying less often usually means more total hours because you spend part of each lesson knocking off rust. Your estimate maps this out against your own schedule.
Instead of paying lesson by lesson, you can fund your AirNoss training account in blocks, and we add free flight credit on top of every deposit. A $5,000 block earns $500 free, $10,000 earns $1,000, $15,000 earns $2,000, and $20,000 earns $2,500. Make multiple deposits over your training and the credit stacks. It's our way of rewarding students who commit to the finish line.
Two reasons. First, that quote is almost certainly at FAA-minimum hours, which very few students actually achieve. The real bill comes later. Second, you'd be training in a decades-old aircraft. No. You don't need a medical certificate, prior experience, or any equipment to start. Just show up. You'll want an FAA medical exam early in training (we'll point you to local AMEs), but your first flights can happen before it's done.
